Back when God gave me the name of this ministry, I did not know then the prophetic significance the name would play in the future. Four Winds comes from Ezekiel chapter 37:9. In this chapter Ezekiel was brought to a place of death, hopelessness, and despair. The Spirit of God asked Ezekiel, "Son of man can these dry bones live?" This is the question Four Winds faces. God is bringing this ministry to places all over the world that is plagued with death, hopelessness, and despair. Our response to the Holy Spirit is "Sovereign Lord only you know." (Eze 37:9) Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the Four Winds O breath and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. As he began to speak the bones began to rattle and shake. A loud noise followed the spoken word. The breath of God came from the "Four Winds."
Through this passage of scripture Four Winds Ministry was born. God showed me how he was taking this ministry to the valley of dried bones. The valley of dried bones represents the condition of sinful man. God has given this ministry the task to speak to the valley of dried bones and command life to come forth. Through this ministry hundreds of thousands will be saved all over the world. Through these mass crusades God is going to raise up a powerful army for the last days.
In 1989, God gave this ministry a commission to reach the cities of the world for Christ by equipping the local church to evangelize in their area for God. In 1996 Four Winds decided to partner with Original Gods Gym in Elgin, IL. My wife and I felt a strong leading it was time to get busy with the dream. It is here that God began to implement Four Winds Vision. The summer of 1996 Four Winds took a small team every Saturday into Crestwood, a low income housing project. We started with nothing but a burning desire to reach our community. Three years later we had an entire outreach setup that included: grills, a PA system, and puppets. Volunteers from local churches came out weekly to participate in the outreaches. Many lives were changed.
At the end of 1999 God began to slightly change the direction of this ministry. For years I knew that Four Winds needed a church covering. So that summer along with twelve other people we planted a church in our living room. Pastor Bryan Garfield and family along with Gina and I came together and planted a new church that is now Church on the Rock. Church on the Rock is presently providing the spiritual covering for Four Winds. Four Winds Ministry acts as the missions and outreach department of Church on the Rock.
August of 2000 changed this ministry forever. While preaching in a local neighborhood a Spanish Pastor named Pastor Fernando Hernandez asked me to go with him to Honduras. Honduras became a incredibly fruitful door for us over the years and we have seen many saved, delivered, and baptized in the Holy Spirit. June of 2001 by divine appointment I met a man of God from Uganda Africa. His name was Apostle Michael Lutalo founder of Appointed Harvesters Ministry located in Kampala Uganda. He asked our ministry to come to Uganda in January of 2002 and hold several crusades there. Little did we know that God was going to bless us so mightily with thousands of salvation's, hundreds of healing's, miracles, deliverance's, and baptisms in the Holy Spirit. Thousands came out nightly to hear the preaching of the word, and God confirmed his Word with signs and wonders. From that contact Kenya, and Congo has opened for us to come and minister. In August of 2001 by divine appointment I met Apostle Harry Gomes from India. In November of 2002 Four Winds held its first crusade in Coimbatore India in which crowds over 40,000 attended nightly. God has enlarged our vision over the years. As the years pass the vision becomes clearer. I look back and I am amazed at how it all started and where we are today. It is incredible looking back to see how God so cleverly setup this ministry to be what it is today. I can only imagine what it will be like years from now.
